Dah Ken Industrial Co., maker of the RST brand of shock
absorbers, will unveil its first 100% gas shocks at Taipei Cycle
2000. The new front shocks will use a gas cartridge to dampen
the effects of riding over rough terrain, company officials said.

At last year's cycle show, Dah Ken's premier products included
shocks with an oil-gas mixture. At the time, they had not yet
developed shock absorbers using only gas for cushioning effects.

Now, however, the gas shocks are through the development and testing stages and are ready to go into production after the cycle show in April, company officials reported.
